Fatal Bakersfield alcohol-related crash death of Deonte John Brown – Obituary
Deonte John Brown, 23, of Bakersfield, tragically lost his life in a crash on New Year’s Day in the area of Ming Avenue and Westholme Boulevard. The collision occurred around 1:10 a.m., and Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were four people in the vehicle, including two men and two women. While the remaining occupants were hospitalized with injuries, the investigation into the incident revealed that the driver claimed a passenger grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to lose control.
The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges, but the identities of the driver and the passenger involved in the incident have not been disclosed.
