Francisco Alves Ribeiro, 61, of Danbury, Connecticut, died in a tragic car crash on the morning of January 2, 2025. Ribeiro was driving a 2005 Honda Accord south on Route 9 near exit 19 when his vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree in the grass median around 6:05 a.m.
State police confirmed that Ribeiro was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the cause.
