Fatal Santa Ana shooting death of Gerson Ramirez – Obituary
Santa Ana Police are investigating the homicide of 38-year-old Gerson Ramirez, who was shot and killed on January 2, 2025. Officers responded to a shooting report at approximately 7:41 p.m. in the east alley of 1400 S. Standard Avenue, where they found Ramirez unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene.
Detectives are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting and are seeking additional witnesses to assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Santa Ana Police Department or Orange County Crime Stoppers.
