Fatal McPherson County wrong-way crash death of Jacob Aich – Obituary

Jacob Aich, a 36-year-old resident of Hutchinson, was tragically killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 135 south of Salina early Saturday morning. The crash occurred shortly after midnight when Aich, driving a Honda CR-Z southbound in the northbound lanes, collided head-on with a Toyota RAV 4 SUV near the Saline/McPherson County line.

 

The violent collision resulted in the deaths of all three occupants of the Toyota: 31-year-old Lydia Barton, 13-year-old Jesse Kinney, and 7-year-old Ronan Barton.

A passenger in the Honda, 29-year-old Kirkland Byers, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The Kansas Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into this tragic incident.
