Fatal Jackson County car crash death of Jenifer Nicole Vickery – Obituary
Jenifer Nicole “Nikki” Vickery, 45, of Commerce, tragically lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Jackson County on Thursday morning.
Vickery, a cherished member of New Grace Church, served as a children’s ministry leader and connections coordinator. The church community, alongside the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, is grieving her untimely death, offering prayers for her husband and children.
The incident occurred at around 8:36 a.m. at the intersection of Georgia 15 and Georgia 326. Preliminary reports from the Georgia State Patrol indicate that Christopher Wayne Bennett, 53, also of Commerce, was driving a Ford F-150 southbound on Georgia 15 when his vehicle collided with Vickery’s Ford Explorer, which was attempting to cross the intersection.
Officials report that Vickery’s vehicle was struck on its passenger side, pushing it off the road, where it overturned.
Despite being rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with critical injuries, Vickery later succumbed to her injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
