A tragic wrong-way crash on Interstate 135 south of Salina early Saturday morning claimed the life of 13-year-old Jesse Kinney from Monument, Colorado. The collision occurred at around 12:25 a.m. when a Honda CR-Z, driven by Jacob Aich of Hutchinson, was heading southbound in the northbound lanes and struck a Toyota RAV 4 SUV head-on.
Jesse Kinney was traveling in the Toyota along with two others—31-year-old Lydia Barton and 7-year-old Ronan Barton—who also lost their lives in the crash. The driver of the Honda, Jacob Aich, was killed, while a passenger, Kirkland Byers, was seriously injured and transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of this devastating crash.
