Authorities have identified the victim of a tragic pedestrian collision in Fall River as Leliane Amado. The incident occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Plymouth Avenue and Nashua Street.
Fall River police reported that officers from the Patrol Bureau responded promptly, and specialized units, including the Major Case Bureau, Crime Scene Unit, and Accident Reconstruction Team, were deployed to assist in the investigation.
Amado was rushed to a local hospital with critical injuries, but despite the efforts of medical staff, she did not survive. The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Sergeant Ross Aubin expressed condolences on behalf of the department, stating, “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.”
