Authorities have identified 51-year-old Malisa K. Kegg and 34-year-old Michael Kegg III as the victims of a tragic double homicide in Gibson County on New Year’s Eve. Police responded to reports of a house fire near Francisco on December 31, where they discovered the bodies of the victims and arrested 53-year-old Michael Kegg Jr. on suspicion of murder.
The Gibson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that both Malisa and Michael III died from gunshot wounds to the chest following autopsies conducted on their remains.
Michael Kegg Jr. is currently being held at the Gibson County Jail. While his first court appearance has yet to be scheduled, authorities continue to investigate the incident. More details are expected as the case develops.
