Marylou Levitan, 66, and her husband Scott Levitan, also 66, from Livonia, Michigan, tragically lost their lives in two separate accidents during the holiday season. On December 27, Marylou was a passenger in the backseat of a Jeep when the vehicle was involved in a crash while she was on her way to retrieve her husband’s car. Scott had fallen through the ice while fishing with his grandson on Lake George in Addison Township on December 26. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on New Year’s Eve.
Marylou was remembered for her zest for life, particularly her deep enthusiasm for sports. She was an avid supporter of the Detroit Tigers, holding season tickets for the team, and was also a dedicated fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Lions. Her daughter and nephew shared fond memories of Marylou’s infectious spirit, reflecting on the joy she brought to everyone around her.
