Rodline Anacreon dies in fatal Springfield shooting
Fatal Springfield shooting death of Rodline Anacreon – Obituary
On Wednesday night, Rodline Anacreon, 33, was tragically killed outside her apartment at 725 Villa Road in Springfield. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Stanley Casimir, contacted 911, admitting to shooting Anacreon multiple times. He explained that the shooting occurred after an argument, as she had kicked him out the previous night. Casimir, driving a black Ford Fusion, then led police on a high-speed chase before he shot himself while attempting to flee.
During the 911 call, Casimir described his intentions to take his own life and mentioned he planned to “have some fun” before doing so. After the police pursuit, which included multiple routes through Springfield, he was taken to local hospitals for treatment. As of Thursday, he was listed in stable condition.
Witnesses described hearing gunshots and a woman screaming for help in Haitian Creole before finding Anacreon bleeding from her head. Anacreon’s sister, who called 911, revealed that Casimir had previously threatened to kill her sister after their breakup. The investigation into the tragic incident continues.
