Officer Sam Miller, who served with the Menomonie Police Department, tragically passed away on December 27, 2024, in an off-duty incident. An investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department determined that Miller died by suicide.
Miller had joined the Menomonie Police Department in January 2024, after previously serving in multiple other law enforcement agencies. In light of this loss, the department is highlighting the crucial need for mental health support for first responders.
