Fatal Loves Park pedestrian accident death of Tracy Campbell – Obituary
Tracy Campbell, 50, was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle in Loves Park late on January 2. Emergency responders arrived at the 5200 block of E. Riverside Blvd. just before 10:30 p.m. and found Campbell unresponsive at the scene.
According to authorities, Campbell was walking when she was hit by a car. The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained on-site as required. Campbell was transported to a local hospital for treatment but, despite medical efforts, was pronounced dead around 12:30 a.m. on January 3.
The Loves Park Police Department and the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
