Fatal Kansas City shooting death of Zachary Hatcher – Obituary
On Thursday night, December 5, 2024, 39-year-old Zachary Hatcher and his two young children, 8-year-old Jeffery Hatcher and 6-year-old Charlotte Hatcher, were tragically found dead in their home on NW 91st Terrace.
Officers were asked to conduct a welfare check and arrived to find the house engulfed in flames. After firefighters extinguished the fire, police discovered the victims, all of whom had suffered gunshot wounds.
Zachary and Charlotte were declared dead at the scene, while Jeffery was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The police are investigating the deaths as a homicide, though the cause of the fire and the motive for the shooting remain unclear.
