Fatal Friona crash death of Benjamin Arguello – Obituary
Benjamin Arguello, 22, of Clovis, was killed in a tragic crash Thursday afternoon near Friona. Arguello, who was leaving Cargill Meat Solutions, failed to yield the right of way and entered the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The truck driver, Jerry Varnell of Portales, could not avoid the collision, and Arguello was pronounced dead at the scene. Varnell, fortunately, was not injured.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
