Fatal East Harlem stabbing death of Carlos Rivas – Obituary
A tragic stabbing took place on Friday, January 3, 2025, when 17-year-old Carlos Rivas was fatally wounded at a deli located at East 108th Street and 2nd Avenue in East Harlem.
Police arrived at the scene at approximately 6:13 p.m. and found Rivas with serious stab wounds to his chest and lower abdomen. Despite being rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, he was later pronounced dead.
Two other men, a 22-year-old and a 62-year-old, also suffered injuries during the attack, with the younger man sustaining a stab wound to his arm and the older man a laceration to his forehead.
Both were transported to nearby hospitals and are in stable condition. Authorities have yet to make any arrests, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
