Fatal Lexington Park shooting death of Chaquanda Latise Odom – Obituary
Chaquanda Latise Odom, 36, of California, Maryland, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Friday, January 3, 2025, in Lexington Park, Maryland.
Emergency responders pronounced Odom dead at the scene after finding her with multiple gunshot wounds in the 21000 block of Liberty Street at approximately 11:10 a.m.
The investigation led to the arrest of Odom’s ex-husband, 38-year-old Jayson David Pressley, also of Lexington Park, who turned himself in at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Pressley has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and is being held without bond.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is overseeing the investigation, with additional support from various law enforcement agencies. The investigation is ongoing.
