Fatal Cleveland Heights shooting death of Edith Moore – Obituary

Edith Moore, a 74-year-old resident of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was tragically killed in a shooting early Saturday morning. The incident, which also left an 18-year-old man injured, occurred around 3 a.m. on the 3500 block of Randolph Road.

 

According to a statement from Mayor Khalil Seren, officers arrived at the scene to find Moore with a fatal gunshot wound to her head. The teen, who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, was transported to a hospital for treatment.

 

Neighbor China Kelley expressed sadness over the tragic loss, describing Moore as a kind woman who often spent time on her porch watching her grandchildren play.

 

Cleveland Heights Police detectives are actively investigating the case. While no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made, officials believe the incident was not random. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
