Fatal New Lisbon triple homicide death of Elizabeth Kolba – Obituary
Elizabeth Kolba, along with two young girls aged 12 and 13, was tragically killed in a horrific incident in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. The killings took place on January 3, 2025, and authorities have launched an intensive search for the suspect, 47-year-old Virgil G. Thew.
Thew, who is wanted for three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, is also being sought by Wisconsin Probation and Parole. Despite two reported sightings in the New Lisbon area, an extensive search failed to locate him, leading authorities to believe he may have fled the region.
Described as 5’11”, weighing about 150 pounds, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a distinctive 1-inch scar on his forehead, Thew remains at large. Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 911 or contact the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
