A homicide investigation is underway after 24-year-old Jakaira Ortiz was found dead in a home on Tamarack Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Saturday morning. Officers responded to a report of a missing person at a residence in the 900 block of Tamarack Drive around 8:45 a.m. and discovered Ortiz with fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively working on the case. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective S.
