Fatal Decatur shooting death of Leroy Ramos – Obituary
Leroy Ramos, 58, a MARTA bus driver, was tragically shot and killed in Decatur on Friday evening following a dispute over bus fare.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the Decatur Station, where Ramos was involved in an altercation with three individuals.
One suspect pulled a gun and shot Ramos three times before fleeing the scene. Ramos was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
Authorities arrested two suspects and are actively searching for a third. Ramos, a father of two daughters and a 7-year-old boy, had only been on the job for a few months after moving from New York.
