Fatal Vermillion two-vehicle crash death of Tina Jensen – Obituary

Tina Jensen, a 47-year-old woman from Vermillion, South Dakota, tragically died Tuesday morning following a head-on collision on South Dakota Highway 19. The crash occurred when Jensen’s 2013 Ford Escape crossed the centerline and collided with a 2020 Freightliner Conventional Columbia semi-truck.

 

Jensen, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a local hospital. The semi-truck driver, 45-year-old Jarrod Johnson from Beresford, South Dakota, was also injured in the crash but is expected to survive. Johnson, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

 

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, though all information released is preliminary at this time.
