Andrea Martinez, 35, was tragically killed in a shooting early on New Year’s Day in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to a call just after midnight on January 1 in the 5800 block of Oakwood Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found Martinez deceased at the scene.
This incident marks the first recorded homicide in the city for 2025, occurring roughly 30 minutes after the start of the new year.
