Fatal Houston Public Road motorcycle crash death of Brain Paul McKenzie – Obituary
A tragic accident occurred around 14:15hrs on Sunday on Houston Public Road, near Rahaman’s Park, resulting in the death of 55-year-old motorcyclist Brain Paul McKenzie from Corriverton, Berbice.
McKenzie, the owner and driver of motorcycle #CH 8290, was traveling west at high speed along the southern carriageway. Preliminary investigations revealed that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Video footage reviewed by authorities showed McKenzie approaching Rahaman’s Turn, attempting a left turn at high speed.
He lost control of the motorcycle, crashing into a metal guard rail, and was thrown into a nearby lamp-post before landing on the road.
Despite efforts by emergency services, McKenzie was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Kellman.
His body has been transported to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home for a post-mortem examination as the investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
