Fatal St. Petersburg shooting death of Deon Bell – Obituary
Deon Bell, 42, was fatally shot on December 18, 2024, outside Kings Meat Market in St. Petersburg, Florida. Police have arrested 46-year-old Charles Teal and charged him with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.
Authorities responded to the incident around 8:30 a.m. after Bell entered the market, collapsed, and stated he had been shot. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A blood trail led officers to a nearby home, where a search revealed a rifle, ammunition, and illegal substances.
Teal was taken into custody the following day for a parole violation and possession of a firearm as a felon. Surveillance footage and witness accounts reportedly confirmed Teal’s involvement in the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
