Fatal Niger State domestic dispute death of Baba Aliyu – Obituary
On January 4, 2025, in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State, a tragic incident occurred when 27-year-old Fatima Dzuma allegedly killed her husband, 25-year-old Baba Aliyu, during a domestic argument.
Police confirmed the incident following investigations conducted between December 24, 2024, and January 4, 2025. The findings indicated that Dzuma struck her husband’s head with a pestle, leading to his death.
Fatima Dzuma has since been arrested for the murder. The police spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, also reported other ongoing investigations, including the arrest of Aminu Amale, 45, for attempting to extort a farmer, and three young suspects arrested for an armed robbery plot in Minna.
Additionally, a man was apprehended for allegedly killing a motorcyclist and stealing his bike. All suspects have been taken into custody for further investigation.
