A tragic accident occurred on December 31, 2024, when a 76-year-old woman, Marylin Glenn, allegedly struck a 62-year-old woman, identified only as C.C., at the intersection of West Hand and Hudson Avenues in Wildwood.
Surveillance footage showed that Glenn’s yellow Chevrolet Trax hit the victim while she was in the crosswalk, propelling her through the air before the vehicle braked and fled the scene.
Glenn later contacted authorities, stating she may have been involved in the incident. Upon arriving at Glenn’s residence, police discovered the damaged vehicle with physical evidence of the collision.
Glenn was arrested on January 2, 2025, and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
She was released after being placed under pretrial monitoring. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
