Fatal Lake County I-90 car crash death of Allen Anderson – Obituary

Allen Anderson, 56, of Cleveland, tragically died following a collision with an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) snow plow on I-90 in Leroy Township on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m., leading to significant traffic delays on the eastbound highway for several hours.

According to ODOT, Anderson was driving a KIA when his vehicle veered off the road and struck the snow plow from behind. His car came to rest in a grassy median. He was initially transported to University Hospitals Tri-Point Medical Center before being transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later passed away.

Authorities have stated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash, though Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
