Fatal Borger hit-and-run bicycle accident death of Burse – Obituary
Burse, a man from Borger, sustained serious injuries following a hit-and-run accident while riding his bicycle at the intersection of E 9th St and N Florida St on the morning of January 6, 2025. The Borger Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 7:15 AM after receiving a report of the incident.
At the time of the crash, Burse was wearing a high-visibility vest. Authorities say he was struck by a white vehicle that fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Emergency responders airlifted Burse to a nearby hospital, where his injuries are considered non-life-threatening. The Borger Police Department’s traffic unit is working to identify the driver responsible.
