On January 5, 36-year-old Joal Campbell was identified as the suspect in a suspected DUI crash that resulted in the deaths of two men in central Fresno.
The incident occurred just before 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of Belmont and Palm, when Campbell, driving a black truck with his headlights off, ran a red light and collided with a gold-colored truck.
The collision caused the gold truck to roll over and come to a stop in a nearby gas station parking lot. Tragically, both men inside the gold truck succumbed to their injuries.
Campbell remains in the hospital for treatment and will be booked into the Fresno County Jail once released. Authorities have yet to release the identities of the two victims.
