Michael Newton dies in fatal Poole incident
Fatal Poole death of Michael Newton – Obituary
Michael Newton, 76, and his wife, Heather Newton, 70, were found deceased in their residence on Anthony’s Avenue in Poole, Dorset, on December 31.
Authorities responded to reports of an unresponsive man and woman at the home, where the couple was later identified by photographs supplied by their family. An inquest revealed that Michael Newton died from hanging, while further tests are being conducted to determine the cause of Heather Newton’s death.
Forensic investigators conducted detailed examinations of the property, including a boat and a vehicle parked outside. While no other parties are suspected of involvement, it is believed, according to a family friend, that Mr. Newton may have acted out of compassion to assist his ailing wife before taking his own life.
Coroner Brendan Allen adjourned the inquests until July 22, pending the final post-mortem results.
