Nidhua Muktadir dies in fatal Port Bruce beach discovery

Fatal Port Bruce beach death of Nidhua Muktadir – Obituary

Nidhua Muktadir, 19, a Fanshawe College student from London, was found dead on Waneeta Beach in Port Bruce on Saturday, nearly a month after being reported missing.

Muktadir had last been seen on December 3, 2024, on Hawk Cliff Road, about five kilometers northeast of Port Stanley. Her disappearance prompted a large-scale search by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the use of divers and drones.

On Tuesday, OPP confirmed that the body discovered by a citizen matched the description of the missing 19-year-old.

Though they did not immediately release the name of the deceased, the identification was later confirmed as Muktadir. The cause of death remains under investigation.
