Fatal Long Beach hit-and-run death of Nikki Rash – Obituary
Nikki Rash, a 78-year-old woman from Long Beach, tragically passed away on January 4, 2025, from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident on December 26, 2024. Rash was struck at the intersection of California Avenue and San Antonio Drive by a male suspect who ran a red light, causing a T-bone collision.
After briefly stepping out of his car, the suspect fled the scene, leaving Rash with severe head injuries. Although Rash initially declined medical treatment, she later sought care and underwent brain surgery.
She was placed on life support at Long Beach Memorial and died ten days later, surrounded by her loved ones, including her service dog Gabby. The authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who was driving a tan Toyota Avalon sedan.
