Sabzazar police in Lahore have resolved the first murder case of 2025 by arresting Usman, a contract killer who allegedly committed the murder in exchange for two Umrah tickets.
Authorities reported that Riyaz was shot dead on January 1st while attending the weekly bazaar with his wife. Investigators uncovered that the killing was plotted by Imtiaz, Riyaz’s brother-in-law, due to a property dispute. Police stated that Usman, the hired gun, was present at the scene alongside Imtiaz during the incident.
Further legal proceedings are underway as the investigation continues.
