Fatal Fort Worth shooting death of Harvey Lee Mitchell – Obituary
Fort Worth police are investigating the fatal shooting of 49-year-old Harvey Lee Mitchell, who was shot inside his home on the night of January 7.
Officers arrived at the scene in the 2800 block of Avenue K just after 8 p.m. and found Mitchell with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Investigators say an unknown suspect entered the home, confronted Mitchell, and shot him before fleeing on foot.
Mitchell was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he died shortly after 9 p.m. No arrests have been made, and the case is under active investigation by the Gang Unit and Gun Violence Unit.
