Fatal Hindmarsh crash death of Kym Liebig – Obituary

Kym Liebig, a 58-year-old father and skilled motorbike racer, has been identified as the victim of a tragic four-vehicle collision near the entrance to the North-South Motorway in Adelaide’s inner suburbs.

The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday as Liebig was riding his black Suzuki motorcycle home along South Road in Hindmarsh.

Reports indicate that a white Holden Commodore, allegedly traveling south, crashed through the median strip fencing and veered into the oncoming lane, striking Liebig’s motorbike along with two other vehicles. Witnesses stated that Liebig was thrown from his bike and subsequently struck by a Mazda ute.

Despite efforts by emergency responders to save him, Liebig was pronounced dead at the scene. In an emotional online tribute, his wife, Prudence Liebig, expressed her grief, saying, “Yesterday afternoon, whilst coming home to me, my darling Kym was killed. He is gone, I am broken.”
