Fatal Carbrook motorbike crash deaths of Sandra Schuptar and Peter Schuptar – Obituary
Sandra Schuptar, 65, a dedicated special needs teacher, and her husband, Peter Schuptar, 63, were tragically killed in a motorbike accident in Carbrook on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mount Cotton Road and Coorang Road, where their motorbike collided with a 4WD vehicle.
Emergency responders treated the couple at the scene for critical injuries, but despite efforts to save them, they were pronounced dead shortly afterward. Sandra had been a beloved educator at Mount Ommaney Special School, where news of her passing left the school community in shock and mourning.
In a heartfelt statement, the school described the couple’s deaths as an unimaginable loss. “We are heartbroken beyond belief. Sandra was a tireless advocate for our students, and her absence will be deeply felt,” the school said. A parent of one of Sandra’s students expressed grief, calling her “an earth angel taken far too soon.”
The Carbrook community continues to mourn the loss of Sandra and Peter Schuptar as investigations into the circumstances of the crash proceed.
