Fatal Dubuque County car crash death of Tyler Thompson – Obituary
Tyler Thompson, 36, of Dubuque, lost his life following a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon in Dubuque County.
Emergency responders from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, and Key West Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Highway 52 and Kemp Road around 4:30 p.m.
Two of the vehicles’ drivers were trapped inside their cars after the crash.
Rescue teams worked to free them, but despite their efforts, Thompson succumbed to his injuries. Another victim, identified as 52-year-old Kristin Lynch, was injured in the crash and is receiving medical care.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
