Fatal Stanly County vehicle crash death of William Oxendine – Obituary
Lieutenant William Oxendine, 47, a veteran paramedic and field training officer with Stanly County Emergency Services, tragically died on January 7, 2025, in a vehicle accident while en route to work.
Oxendine, who had dedicated over 20 years to serving his community, also volunteered as a firefighter with the Central Rural Volunteer Fire Department.
Despite the immediate efforts of first responders, Oxendine succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. His passing is deeply felt by the community he served with dedication and care.
