Fatal Ashtabula County vehicle accident death of Gabriele Reo – Obituary
31-year-old Gabriele Reo tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle while walking her dog on Monday night in Ashtabula County.
The incident occurred around 7:18 p.m. on Route 20 near Blair Avenue in Ashtabula Township. Despite efforts to save her, Reo was later pronounced dead at the Ashtabula Regional Medical Center.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2016 Chevrolet Trax driven by a 26-year-old man from Conneaut was heading westbound when it collided with Reo and her dog. The dog was assisted by the Ashtabula County Dog Warden at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but there has been no indication yet if the driver will face any charges.
