Fatal Tigard car crash death of Hayden Hackney – Obituary

Hayden Hackney, a 21-year-old man, was tragically killed in a collision on Highway 99W near Southwest Canterbury Lane on December 30.

According to Tigard police, the accident occurred around 12:35 a.m. when Hackney’s sedan was struck by a Ford F150 driven by 40-year-old Jason Burgess.

Hackney was pronounced dead at the scene, while Burgess was taken into custody on charges of second-degree manslaughter, DUI, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.

However, Washington County prosecutors later dismissed the manslaughter charge. Burgess pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges, court records indicated.
