A tragic collision in Tumakuru district on Tuesday morning resulted in the deaths of 38-year-old Mumtaz Hussain and her two sons, 18-year-old Sahil Hussain and 12-year-old Mohammed Asif.
The family, from Guddenahalli in Madhugiri, was returning home after visiting relatives when their motorbike crashed into a tractor-trailer around 6:30 a.m. in Kora.
According to police, the accident occurred due to thick fog that reduced visibility, preventing Sahil from noticing the tractor parked by the roadside.
Additionally, the tractor driver had failed to activate the necessary lights, which could have warned the family of the danger.
Mumtaz’s husband, Shakhir Hussain, a daily wage worker, reported that Sahil was riding the bike at the time of the crash.
