Fatal Kansas Turnpike crash death of Anthony Shell – Obituary
Anthony Shell, a 58-year-old man from Lebanon, Ohio, lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 east of Topeka, Kansas. The crash occurred late Friday morning, January 19, 2025, at approximately 11:25 a.m., near the East Topeka service area on the Kansas Turnpike.
Shell was driving a 2024 Kenworth semitrailer westbound on I-70 when the vehicle veered off the roadway to the right, striking a bridge pillar. He was the sole occupant of the semi and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Details about whether Shell was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash were not indicated in the crash report.
