Fatal Dayton car crash death of Benjamin Huffman – Obituary
A three-vehicle collision in Dayton claimed the life of 31-year-old Benjamin Huffman on Thursday evening. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 1300 block of Harshman Road, according to police.
Authorities reported that Huffman was driving a Ford Ranger southbound when he changed lanes and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic. The Ford collided with a Nissan Rogue, which spun out and struck a GMC Sierra.
Huffman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Montgomery County Coroner, Dr. Kent Harshbarger. The driver of the Nissan was hospitalized and later released with minor injuries, while the driver and passenger in the GMC were treated at the scene.
Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the crash. Dayton police’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
