Fatal Memphis shooting death of Byron Gardner – Obituary
Byron Gardner, a 29-year-old father of four and military veteran, tragically lost his life in a shooting outside a Central Gardens home early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the scene at Linden and Pine around 2 a.m. The victim, identified by his wife Tangenika Gardner, was an aspiring firefighter and a DJ who loved music.
Tangenika shared that Byron had no known conflicts with anyone and likely wasn’t the intended target. He was fatally shot while loading DJ equipment and later died at the hospital.
His wife, heartbroken and seeking justice, urged anyone with information to come forward for the sake of their children.
