Fatal Rockford shooting death of Darian Bunnell – Obituary

A 22-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place on Saturday in Rockford.

The man, Darian Bunnell, was found with gunshot wounds around 2:45 p.m. in the 4800 block of Javelin Drive.

Bunnell was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at 10:53 p.m.

The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity. Police have not released any information about potential suspects, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
