Fatal Ames shooting death of Parker L. Stoneburner – Obituary
Ames police have confirmed the identity of the man who was fatally shot on the evening of January 20, 2025. The victim, 25-year-old Parker L. Stoneburner of Boone, succumbed to a gunshot wound after being found at an apartment on South 5th Street.
Emergency responders arrived around 6:30 p.m. and transported Stoneburner to Mary Greeley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The police have stated that no arrests have been made as of yet, although tips from the public are being reviewed. Investigators are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
