Fatal Pasco, WA crash death of Eric L. Wommack – Obituary
Eric L. Wommack, 63, of Pomeroy, lost his life in a collision on Highway 12 near Pasco on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 8:40 a.m. when Wommack’s white Ford Ranger was struck by a semi-truck pulling a double tanker trailer, according to a report from the Washington State Patrol.
Alvin E. Ortiz, 50, of Richland, was behind the wheel of the semi and was attempting to cross both lanes of Highway 12 from Sacajawea Park Road to Tank Farm Road when the crash happened.
The impact left Wommack trapped inside his vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
