Fatal Greenville County pedestrian crash death of Joseph Michael Trojan – Obituary
Joseph Michael Trojan, 62, lost his life Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in Mauldin, South Carolina.
Authorities received a 911 call at approximately 10:44 p.m. regarding a pedestrian-involved crash near 775 E. Butler Road. Emergency responders arrived on the scene around 10:56 p.m. and found Trojan had succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators reported that Trojan was crossing the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk when he was hit. An autopsy performed the following day determined that he died from multiple blunt force injuries, and his death was ruled accidental.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office and other officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
