A deadly shooting on February 2, 2025, left three women dead inside a home in Northland, Kansas City.
The Kansas City Police Department responded to a call around 12:45 a.m. in the 4100 block of NW 65th Street, where they discovered the victims—49-year-old Jodie Hopcus, 73-year-old Sherri Duncan, and 24-year-old Hailey Hopcus—unresponsive. All three were declared deceased at the scene.
Authorities have detained a person of interest, who is believed to have known the victims. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward, with a reward of up to $25,000 for tips submitted anonymously.
