Fatal Tazewell County, Illinois car crash death of Deontay Page – Obituary
A tragic two-vehicle accident in Tazewell County on Friday evening claimed the life of 22-year-old Deontay Page, a resident of Peoria.
Emergency responders received a 911 call at 6:56 p.m. on January 31, reporting a crash near the intersection of Edgewater Drive and Bartruff Lane, approximately seven miles northeast of Pekin. Authorities arrived to find one person trapped inside a vehicle.
Page was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, but he was unresponsive, without a pulse, and not breathing. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at 7:46 p.m., less than an hour after emergency crews arrived.
Officials have not yet released details regarding the other driver’s condition.
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
